Blood and Sand

Named after the 1922 Rudolph Valentino bullfighting movie. Scotch, cherry Heering, sweet vermouth, and orange juice. One of the few classic Scotch cocktails. Fruity, smoky, and complex.

Serves1 cocktail

Ingredients

3/4 oz blended Scotch whisky
3/4 oz Cherry Heering (cherry liqueur)
3/4 oz sweet vermouth
3/4 oz fresh orange juice
Orange twist for garnish

Instructions

1. Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice.
2. Shake vigorously for 15 seconds.
3. Strain into a chilled coupe glass.
4. Garnish with an orange twist.
