Amaretto Sour

A sweet-tart cocktail made with amaretto, lemon juice, and simple syrup. The almond notes of amaretto pair beautifully with fresh lemon. Sometimes topped with a float of bourbon for depth.

Ingredients

2 oz amaretto (Disaronno)
1 oz fresh lemon juice
1/2 oz simple syrup
1/2 oz bourbon (optional float)
Lemon wheel and cherry for garnish

Instructions

1. Add amaretto, lemon juice, and simple syrup to a shaker with ice.
2. Shake for 15 seconds.
3. Strain into a rocks glass over ice.
4. If using bourbon, float it on top.
5. Garnish with a lemon wheel and cherry.
